Comedian refuses to garner laughs with anything remotely vulgar

Quincy Carr quickly straightens up his booth.
It’s not at all messy, but he seems to like things in a certain order. Inside Salon Plaza in Norfolk, beauticians and barbers work in tight quarters that comfortably seat maybe two or three people. Carr, a barber by day, shares his booth with a beautician.
The slender Texas native sits in his barber chair and talks about how he brings happiness by doing two things: tightening up your look with his clippers or making you laugh with his jokes.
But unlike so many urban comedians working the local and national circuits, the 39-year-old Carr refuses to garner laughs with anything remotely vulgar. Read more…
